Luke 6:24-26

Woe to us

Who think your words

Are for the top 2%

I have more 

Than one coat

When someone borrows

From me

I want it back

I am well fed

I have money

For groceries

(without SNAP)

And I eat in

Restaurants

I have more shows

On TV

Than I can ever possibly

Watch

I go to movies

I go to shows

I go to parties

… I have much

To make me laugh

I enjoy affirmation

I want people to like me

I do not want to be hated

In this life

But you don’t want to take away

Our food

Our clothing

Our laughter

Our positive experiences

That’s not what you mean

You want us to want as much

For others

As we want for ourselves
