storyteller god
you teach truths in stories
we can trust
when we are resigned
from secret hopes
you surprise us
with what we have dreamed of
you know our struggles
as we seek righteousness
and you fulfill your promises
not according to our faith
which is so often feeble
but with your mercy and kindness
let me enter into
reflection and thankfulness
at the wonders you have given
